Datacard launches multi-card buffer module

Datacard Group has announced the availability of its multi-card buffer module for the Datacard MX2000 card issuance system. The multi-card buffer module holds or passes cards to maintain data order when a reject occurs.
According to the company this module is designed for issuers who wish to reduce costs caused by rejected cards by rejecting only the bad card and holding any accompanying cards until a new card can be made. It says the system also maintains throughput by holding cards in the buffer until downstream processes are ready and allow the system sufficient time to process the data. Additionally, when used in mailer application, it holds cards during carrier printing.
Datacard adds that the multi-card buffer module:
·         Preserves card order when rejects occur

·         Holds/parks cards after read/look-up is performed

·         Preserves data order and maintains throughput.
