The convergence of traditional identity documents and next-generation identity technologies, such as biometrics and smart secure credentials, is a major theme at this year's SDW conference. Future government-based identity schemes will see these technologies enhance passenger experiences at the border, enable cross-border transactions online, and facilitate the equitable disbursement of state resources.
