Identity solutions providers Plasco ID and Matica Technologies have entered into a strategic agreement.

The agreement will see identification card solutions firm Plasco serve as the first authorized repair and support center for Matica’s new Latin American market venture.

Germany-based Matica Technologies is the primary hub for the marketing and sales of all Matica card issuance products. The company provides a diverse array of identification card systems including for transportation and passports, healthcare, schools and universities, government and financial institutions, and access control.

Plasco will distribute Matica's entire line of desktop photo ID card systems including the Moca and Espresso direct-to-card dye sublimation ID card printers, XID retransfer printers, as well as laser engravers and metal plate embossers.

Plasco will manage a comprehensive inventory of the ID card equipment and supplies in its Miami warehouse location. In addition, Plasco’s internal technical support team will provide the maintenance and support for Matica ID card printers and equipment.

"We are excited to see the culmination of this partnership and to distribute such an extensive array of well-established ID card systems to our clients”, said Ivan Spicker, Plasco ID Director of Sales. "We look forward to supporting and contributing our 32 years of ID card expertise to Matica's Latin American market."

“Working with Plasco allows us to reach the market through a company that lives and breathes the ID card industry with a dedicated and professional team," said Albert Baranera, Vice President of Global Marketing and Sales Printers & Desktop Solutions. “Plasco will support and promote the full range of Matica´s portfolio of card printer solutions that ranges from simple card issuance to complex security documents combining retransfer and laser technologies."
