Matica moves to new production site

Matica Technologies has relocated its Matica System production plant from Paderno Dugnano (Milan) to Turate, close to Lake Como and Milan Malpensa International Airport in Italy.

According to the company, investing in this new facility provides Matica Technologies with three times the capacity of its previous site allowing it to significantly grow its manufacturing output. For the first time, the company has also created space to host the ‘Matica Academy’, which will deliver worldwide seminars and training for its partners and customers. In addition, a new laboratory for systems and desktop solutions provides testing and manufacturing for card samples, performs technical benchmarks and product tests.

“After outgrowing our former site, this investment is a measure of our long-term ambition to continue expanding and securing significant business growth,” says Sandro Camilleri, CEO of Matica Technologies

He adds: “Our state-of-the-art site is exceptionally multi-functional, it raises operational efficiencies so it is a very exciting time for the company. Over two full floors we will expand our production of the S3500 instant issuance system, S6200 line of systems for mid-volume card issuance programs and S7000 central issuance system.”

The company says: “As Matica Technologies’ reputation continues to gain worldwide popularity for producing highly adaptable, reliable financial and highly secure ID card personalisation solutions, it has become crucial that the company invests in the production efficiency along with increased demands. The new Turate site also provides a flexible high-bay storage solution, R&D centre, a fully equipped demo room and a dedicated space to house a museum, which will exhibit the technology behind the solid engineering assets of Matica products.”
