Secunet ahead in Iceland ABC contact tender

Iceland’s Rikiskaup (Central Public Procurement) body has published the results of a tender for ABC gates for Keflavik International Airport, with German security firm secunet presenting the lowest price.

Issued last November, the tender invited ABC suppliers provide bids for 12 ABC gates to be used by the border police at KEF.

The tender also includes a service contract for three years with the option to extend twice for one year at a time.  

This week the body published the following results of the tender:

“Total price of contract (TPOC). Gemalto Denmark A/S EUR. 1.274.199 2. Veridos GmbH EUR. 1.842.000.-3. Sita Advanced Travel Solutions ltd. EUR. 1.358.068.-4. Vision Box, Solucones de Viso Por Computador SA. EUR. 852.803.- 5. Secunet Security Netwok AG EUR. 557.121.”

The body notes that the cost estimate for the contract is EUR. 1.3 million

The award criteria for the contract is lowest price.
