CardLogix achieves ISO 9001:2015 certification

19/10/17

Smart card manufacturer and software developer CardLogix has announced today its successful migration to the ISO 9001:2015 Standard, the latest international standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS).

As one of the first smart card manufacturers to achieve this new standard, the award is a fitting testament to the company's unwavering commitment to quality, best practices, and customer service.

The ISO:9001 Standard, certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is based on proven quality management principles. This includes the process-driven approach, evidence-based decision making, continual improvement, customer focus, and the motivation and implication of top management.

Organizations certified to ISO 9001:2015 can display tangible proof that their products and services meet high quality standards. This level of quality assurance is especially important for technology companies that provide identity and security solutions, such as CardLogix.

"I am very proud of my team for their active participation and commitment leading to this achievement," said Sebastien Goulet, President & CEO at CardLogix. "CardLogix' core values and top priorities reflect ISO 9001's guiding principles of quality, reliability and customer service. We are also proud to be one of only few smart card manufacturers to achieve this new certification."

To earn the new ISO 9001:2015 certification, CardLogix first underwent an internal multi-department audit. They explored performance metrics and examined all functional procedures to ensure that they were performing optimally and as intended. This was followed by a rigorous two-stage audit with a certified independent party. The auditor examined every department's processes, controls, and systems to verify proper execution.

"Even when you think your systems and procedures are performing optimally, you find that there is room for improvement and growth," said Roger Bushong, Administration Manager at CardLogix, who helped lead the quality improvement team to achieve the ISO 9001:2015 certification.

"We came out of this audit even stronger. I appreciate that the new ISO 9001:2015 standard allows CardLogix to make improvements that work best within our own quality systems. Our procedures align with our business goals without hindering our productivity."

"My responsibility moving forward will be to ensure that all departments stay on track and follow procedures and processes as denoted in our Quality Management System Manual. We will continue to implement, record, and analyze activities that help to maintain control and ensure that our clients always receive the best of quality from our products and services."
