Versasec opens new office

10/01/18

Smart card management systems firm Versasec has opened its new Singapore office serving resellers, customers and prospects in the Asia Pacific region.

The new office joins the company’s existing locations in Dubai, the US, Germany, France, the UK and company headquarters in Sweden.

“Our Asia-Pacific client and reseller list is expanding quickly, and we wanted to ensure they will have local representation from Versasec,” said Joakim Thorén, CEO, Versasec. “Having feet on the street in Singapore positively impacts our ability to win new projects and implement them throughout the Asia Pacific region.”

Yin Hong Lee is Versasec’s first hire in the Singapore office, and he will strengthen the sales and business development team in the region. He reports to William Houry, Versasec’s VP of Sales. Versasec says Mr Lee is an experienced sales engineer with in-depth knowledge of the Asia Pacific security and access market. He is familiar with all aspects of smart card technology and public key infrastructure (PKI) and has implemented many two-factor identification projects during his career.

Prior to joining Versasec, Mr Lee worked as a sales engineering manager at Checkmarx. Prior to Checkmarx, he held a sales engineer position at GlobalSign and consulted for Netrust.
