JINCO integrates IDEX sensor

IDEX has announced that JINCO Universal has integrated its fingerprint sensors into dual-interface biometric cards for multiple applications including payments and identification.

“JINCO is a leading smart card integration pioneer and we are very proud that they have chosen to integrate our fingerprint sensor into their dual-interface biometric cards,” says Stan Swearingen, CEO of IDEX.

“JINCO selected IDEX for its high performance, reference design and superior support which ensured that the development of our cards, with and without batteries, was achieved in record time,” says Ted Lin, chairman at JINCO Universal.

IDEX first launched its fingerprint sensor for dual-interface biometric cards in June 2017. The sensor’s power management system supports the biometric card operation without a battery and works with standard NFC terminals. Based on IDEX’s off-chip sensor technology, the sensor is made of polymer.
