Establishing an HSPD-12 Identity

US Federal Government Agencies and the system integrators and solution providers that support their success had until October 27, 2006 to start issuing FIPS-201 compliant identification badges to their employees and contractors. This deadline is part of the requirements established by the President’s Homeland Security Directive 12 (HSPD-12).

This paper provides an overview of the HSPD-12 process, the critical factors and considerations needed for a successful implementation, and an introduction to the Daon products that best meet these needs.
